Burnham Yard Demolition

The Burnham Yard Demolition project involved the removal of former railroad maintenance and industrial support structures within the historic Burnham Yard property in Denver, Colorado as part of the site’s transition toward future redevelopment. The work included demolition of large industrial buildings, removal of heavy structural steel and reinforced concrete foundations, and the processing and export of concrete, asphalt, and other materials for recycling and reuse.

The site presented unique challenges due to its long history of railroad operations, including potential subsurface obstructions, legacy infrastructure, and coordination within an active urban environment adjacent to major transportation corridors. Western Wrecking was selected for its experience with complex industrial demolition projects and its ability to safely execute demolition while maximizing material recovery and coordinating with multiple project stakeholders.
